The research that I found showed that albino rats helped free other rats who were trapped once they figured out how to open the trap, however when a black-hooded rat was trapped the albino rats did not help to free them. The researchers then proceeded to pair the albino rats with black-hooded rats for some time before trying the experiment again. Once they tried the experiment again the albino rats helped the other rats even if they were black-hooded or albino.
